Master Reader

I had been a self-taught reader since 1986, but kept my interest in The Cards a secret from everyone, lest they think I am “weird”. Then, when helping my grandma pack for a move, she gave me an old Tarot deck in a marble box, and said I was “supposed to have it.” After a few questions, I found out my grandmother was a Tarot master! I was delighted to find out this piece of my family’s history… it was the first I had heard of it! Then, the very next day, I saw a community education catalog in the break room at work. It was open to a page offering lessons in Tarot reading. I heard the call, as it is said, and immediately registered. At the class, I took to reading Tarot like a duck takes to water, and began a journey that continues to be a source of enlightenment, growth, and plain old fun to this day. I truly love the work that I do.

Currently, I do both individual and group readings, in settings ranging from Halloween parties to birthdays, corporate functions to school events, and private homes to night clubs. I have been reading tarot since 1986, professionally since 1992, in the greater Twin Cities area of Minneapolis and St. Paul, Minnesota. I regularly reads the fates of the souls at Jet Set Bar in Minneapolis.

Katrin Snyder

Master Reader

I truly am the Skeptic’s Sea Witch – part witchy mermaid, teacher, artist, guide, and tarot reader – with three degrees, two kittens, and a kazoo. I’ve been reading for 20+ years. I offer tarot and art as a tool for empowerment and clarity. I am a critical spiritual pragmatist. I consider intuitive mystical woo and scientific skeptical rationalization to be two wings of the same bird. I’m 50/50 right brain and left (I even took like 3 online quizzes about my brain balance to verify, so you know it’s legit). If you need some guidance – wanna get below the surface of your shiz – can think critically and openly with seriousness and a sense of humor….I’m your mishmash mer-mate (but you might want to take an online quiz or two first, just to be sure).

A reading with me dives deep and brings the truth of who you are to the surface. I will help you find a way to live a truer, clearer, more empowered, and magical, laugh-filled life.

He has studied coaching at Health Coach Institute and has been a student of spirituality for more than 30 years.

Samantha M. Lofgren

Samantha M. Lofgren

Master Reader

I picked up my first tarot deck as a child, and I’ve been working with them ever since. My readings are heavily influenced by my studies of psychology and Buddhist practices. I consider myself a mirror – reflecting back answers and ideas from the Powers that Be and guiding folks through to their next life. I will collaborate with you to see the questions clearly and empower you in these transitions.

I read for events, groups, and individuals, both in person and online. I also perform ceremonies, write, and craft jewelry and objects, all of which can be found at CompanionInShadow.com

Dennis McGuire

Dennis McGuire

Dennis McGuire

Apprentice Reader

Dennis started working with tarot in 2009, when he purchased the Finestra tarot deck. “Finestra” means “window”, and he wanted to look through that window!

His approach to reading tarot is to use the cards to bring up ideas and formulate suggestions that otherwise wouldn’t be obvious. Those ideas and suggestions help to navigate the sometimes murky waters we pass through.

Professionally, Dennis spent several decades as a statistical consultant, with a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology. He has worked on scores of research projects and authored or co-authored a number of scholarly research papers. Tarot takes his research skills and moves them to a higher dimension.

What is Tarot? A connection with the animate universe; a creative way to gain insight into life’s challenges; an entertaining way to spend time with friends exploring personal milestones? Tarot is all of these things. At whatever level one chooses to engage with Tarot, one can find insight, meaning and value. You might even be amazed.

My approach to Tarot reflects an art historian’s love of Western art and iconography and is grounded in ongoing study of Tarot tradition. However, the many rich and vibrant discussions and practices taking place within the modern Tarot community, and the multitude of contemporary artists designing their own Tarot decks, constantly enrich that tradition. My approach to Tarot is also open to flashes of insight and intuition – yours as well as mine, as we explore your cards together. My beliefs in a benevolent universe, free will, and the lessons I have learned through my own life’s journey also shape each reading of the cards. I look forward to sharing the wonder of Tarot with fellow travellers.

Veronika Catheryn

Apprentice Reader

Veronika’s reading style is intuitive and a bit free form, using tarot to illustrate the how, why, and where of your story; illuminating darkened passages, finding keys to forgotten doors, and listening to the goings on below our feet and above our heads. She picked up her first tarot deck in her twenties but only dabbled with readings until she began her apprenticeship under the wonderful teacher, Nancy Antenucci. With Nancy’s direction, and aligned with an amazing assemblage of seers, Veronika advocates for mindful living and the discovery of your creative gifts with kindness, compassion, and courage. It seems we’ve arrived at a peak time for transforming fears. Are you ready to listen to the growing whispers of our spirits and healers?
